About Whitaker Properties

Whitaker Properties, Inc is owned and operated by twin brothers John and Jeff Dunbar who grew up in Bellows Falls, VT. Other than their time attending college and each having brief stints living in bigger cities (Atlanta, Washington, DC and Boston suburbs) they both moved back to Rockingham, VT in their early 30’s. Nearly two decades later, they both recognized the potential that exists in Rockingham and its villages of Bellows Falls and Saxtons River, and started Whitaker Properties, Inc in 2014 to continue their parents’ tradition of providing quality housing for community members.

Our mission is to improve the standard of housing in Rockingham by investing in the properties through financial investment, sweat equity and improved housing provider/tenant relations. It is our intent to have a larger scale influence on housing across our community by utilizing incremental development concepts that will help provide a lasting, positive impact on our neighborhoods.
